Tuesday Night-Tom's

It took us at least five hours to get to Tom’s, but felt so peaceful when we arrived. Tom is so welcoming, and thoughtful about every detail. He had dinner ready to be grilled, his whole upstairs set up for us, and even had little soaps, shampoo, and conditioner set out for us in the bathroom. The boys started playing a spike game on the lawn while Amaya and I walked around, checking out his gardens and pumpkin patch. Tom has a pumpkin patch that he sells pumpkins from in the fall. Looking from the window upstairs, Amaya noticed small goats next door. After commenting about them to Tom, Tom called his neighbor, and we were on our way to the farm next door. Not only did they have goats, but also had pigs, dogs, chickens, horses, AND a baby filly, whom was only two months old. The filly’s name was Cricket. Amaya was able to go and visit with the baby and her mama, whom kept a close eye on her little baby. Amaya had a permanent grin the whole rest of the night. She loves this trip, and I am so glad. All these little stops and the scenery, with the new adventures are important for us all, but especially for this teenager whom did not want to go in the first place. I love to prove her wrong!! With all the driving, we were all tired after this day. Once again, it was so nice to be comfortable in a home, relaxed, and have no where we have to go in the morning.
