After coming back from the river, Jake and I went into Durango to shop, and the rest of the family went back to Tom’s.
Tom had a surprise for us for dinner, and had been excitedly giving us small hints during our whole stay. On the way to dinner, we saw many prairie dogs on the side of the road, yay! Amaya was not able to look quick enough to see the little critter and was a bit sad. Dinner was at Barr D’s Chuck Wagon. It was just outside of Durango, and has been in business for 40 years. It had a little train ride, a small chapel, a wishing well, multiple shops, and entertainment. Dinner was served to everyone at the same time, chuck wagon style. We all picked up our tin plates and went through the line, while staff served us. We then picked up our tin cups with lemonade and proceeded to our picnic tables and ate. Dinner was fantastic. After the dinner, the Barr-D’s put on a fabulous show. Each played an instrument, and they harmonized perfectly, all while having a great sense of humor and making the crowd laugh. TJ treated us all to dinner, we wanted to pay for him!! Sheesh! It was dark by the time we left, and we were all tuckered out again, so off to bed we went.
Ryan dipped his hat in the wishing well water. "I dipped it so I could have wishes with me all the time"
Riding on the train.
Cute cowboys!!
