Horseshoe Canyon

Friday evening, driving up to Page, we stopped by Horseshoe Canyon. It was a three quarter of a mile hike to get to the edge, but was spectacular. WOW, it is a long way down. You could see very tiny people and boats, if you peered over the edge. We stayed a couple feet away from the edge, but that still didn’t seem like enough space between the edge and us.  In addition to the scary edge, it was hot. Ryan doesn’t stand the heat much. I think he may start to melt inside or something, because he acts like he is literally dying. Anyways, he made it, and says it was worth the walk. On the way back, we saw a good size lizard with orange on it’s back. It was pretty neat.

After getting our hotel, we were all tired. We went to the store, bought stuff for sandwiches, chips, milk, and other eats, and then went back to the hotel room to chill out, watch T.V., and then go to bed early. This was a much-needed rest.

On the way back down from the hike to see the canyon, Ryan and I saw a big lizard! There are lizards all over and Ryan is having trying to catch them. He has not been successful yet, but he keeps trying.
