On the way to Sunset Trail, there were two, cute chipmunks
(or ground squirrels, as Amaya says), right next to the path. They were pretty
tolerant of people, and didn’t run as soon as someone got close. Amaya and Ryan
were watching them pretty intently, and Ryan even put his fingers out for the
little critter to touch, and then nibble on. NOT smart, but I probably would
have done the same thing.
