Hike with my boys

After dropping Amaya off for the mule trip, Scott and I took the boys for a lighter hike. The boys got to cross a big log over a small valley, and we looked for geods.

Our Cabin

Ryan found this piece of wood that looks like a bird!

Crossing over the big tree

When we got to a resting area with a great view, Scott Anderson, Jim, and Austin showed up. The boys and Scott wanted to be done, so they went back to the cabin, and I went on with the others. It wasn’t super strenuous, but was really nice, and was mostly in the shade, yay!

Mule Rides

Early Morning
My Morning View

Wednesday:
I woke up at 5am today, laid around til 6, then got in the shower. I had to wake Amaya up at 6:30, so she could get ready to go on her mule trip, down the canyon. Her, Ethan, and Aunt Jenny took a 4-hour ride on the mules. They had a fabulous time. I would have loved to go along, but am very allergic. Scott and I went to where they started their descent. I saw some wild Lupine growing in the woods. It was so tiny! I would love to dig some up and bring it home, but am not sure how it would fair riding in the hot car.

Each horse stopped in he same place to pee, so funny!

Before the ride

Relaxed Evening

While the hikers were recuperating, we went and hung at the lodge, having some cold drinks, and the boys all started playing Euchre.

That set the relaxed, kick back tone for the whole night. All the kids kept playing Euchre, and brought the game back to the cabins. Jim and Bonnie went for dinner, and we, along with Scott and Jenny, went to the saloon for some adult beverages. In some of our beverages were some whisky soaked cherries, which were quite strong. After the saloon, we went back to the cabins, where the kids kept playing card games, and Amaya serenaded us with songs from her Ipad.
